Accord Sedan
The 2010 Accord Sedan is a 4-door, 5-passenger family sedan, available in 13 trims, ranging from the LX 5-Spd, MT to the EX-L V-6 5-Spd AT w/ Navigation System. Upon introduction, the LX 5-Spd MT is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter, I4, 177-horsepower engine that achieves 22-mpg in the city and 31-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard. The EX-L V-6 5-Spd AT w/ Navigation System is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 271-horsepower engine that achieves 19-mpg in the city and 29-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.
Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options
Four-cylinder and V6-powered Accord sedans are available with either a 177- or 190-hp 2.4-liter 4-cylinder, or a 271-hp 3.5-liter V6. The V6 includes Honda’s Variable Cylinder Management cylinder deactivation. Sedans are offered in EX and EX-L trim levels. Sedans also come in entry-level LX and LX-P versions. An entry-level LX-S coupe is also offered. The 4-cylinder engine is available on all models. EX and EX-L sedans are also available with the V6. A 5-speed automatic transmission is available across the board. Leather seating is standard on EX-L models, but not available otherwise. A navigation system is also available.
The LX Premium gets 16” alloy wheels, a chrome exhaust finisher, and auto-up/down driver’s and front passenger’s windows. The top-of-the-line EX-L V6 includes leather-trimmed interior, leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, passenger’s seat with 4-way power adjustment, dual-zone automatic climate control system, 270-watt AM/FM/6-disc in-dash premium audio system, and a HomeLink remote system.
Powertrains and Performance
Accord models have always roared ahead of the curve. That’s because they utilize i-VTEC for abundant power and efficiency at all engine speeds. The V-6 features the latest generation of Honda’s Variable Cylinder Management technology, which activates the engine’s cylinders as needed, providing both brisk acceleration and fuel savings.
The LX 4-door features a 2.4-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder with 177 hp. Plus, there’s a 190-hp EX version. And a 271-hp 3.5-liter V-6.
